The sonnets were written between the summer of 1982 and
the spring of 1984. They are presented in the order they were written.
I've taken some liberties with the form, defining the sonnet broadly as
a 14-line poem with some metric structure and, usually, some sort of rhyme
scheme.
There are 72 poems in the series. Some of them consist
of three to five individual sonnets.
